ANOTHER YEAR ALMOST OVER.....

Ok so time is just flying by. I can't believe it is almost Christmas again. I am officially half way through teaching another school year and on to another semester of master classes. I can't believe how fast time goes by and how much happens in a year. Life is truly like a roller coaster, it is continuous ups and downs. Sometimes i am not too sure i am enjoying the ride... Other times it surprises me with what comes. I just wish i had more of a target for where i was headed. I am getting older and not really going anywhere. But i guess my goal is to just keep hanging in there and hope that life takes me somewhere great. It is so weird to see how many relationships change in a year, how many friends come and go and how families change. It's like each day is really something new. Hopefully this year is full or more ups, and more hints as to my future goals. Hopefully i try harder to stay positive and to regain some of my hope that i have lost. I hope it brings new friends and stronger relationships, and strength for when the hard times come, because i know there will be some of those too. What goes up must come down, i just have to remember it will eventually go up again!!

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday season. I have to be honest, the holidays aren't as exciting when you get old, and when you don't have kids to share the fun with... But I do have one thing to look forward to... WINTER BREAK!!! Which means vacation for me! Yahoo!!

Xander is here!!!

Xander Robert was born December 16th at 8:22. He weighed 8lbs. 7oz. I am so excited for my sister and brother in law! He will be such a fun addition to their family! I can't wait to watch him grow up. I am so grateful for family. This will be such a fun holiday season!

Happy Birthday Gunnar!!

Today is my nephew Gunnar's Birthday! He is two years old. I can't believe it! He is so cute and fun. I think i really like kids when they are this age. He is fun to play with, he can finally say my name, and he is like super duper cute~! So I just wanted to say Happy Birthday Gunnar!!!

Never settle for less than you deserve!!

Today i realized something HUGE.... You can't let happiness go when you have worked so hard to get it back. Recently i had a really rough time in life where i felt really low and down. I didn't even know what to do. But i worked really hard to stay positive and keep trying. I finally got to a point where i really honestly was happy again. Maybe even the happiest i have been in a long long time. Then i let something get in the way, and almost ruin it again. Something i thought i had always wanted, but when it was finally right in front of me, it left me with an awful feeling. I just felt dark and not right, so i had to send it away, i had to let go. And to be honest i thought it would be a lot harder, but i actually feel pretty darn good that i was strong enough to actually do it! I am proud that when i didn't feel right i follwed my heart and let it go, so that i could save my happiness, save myself from darkness. How lucky am i, even though i have distanced myself from the church and my faith.... I have held on to enough to still pull through when i needed it. I have been trying to find myself bit by bit, just in time to avoid the pain of what i had just escaped.

Thank you to all of those who have listend to my story of these events time after time after time, those who have delt with my rollercoaster of emotions with this boy, and who have loved me and supported me no matter what stupid choices i make again and again. I know its been a long road these last 2 years, and i know i made my fair share of dumb choices with situations before this as well, heck you don't end up with an ex husband and a dud boyfriend of 2 years at the age of 24 without making a few dumb choices along the way... I am just lucky to still be alive, and that my choices haven't left me to die, or to a dead end where i can't learn and grow and hopefully end up in a much better situation.

I just pray that i will remember this lesson, and continue to put my needs and feelings first. That i will remain a strong woman who fights for herself. And that all of us with strive for happiness no matter how dark the road ahead looks...

Crazy Kids!

You would think that i am old enough to blog about my own kids..... But i don't have any!!! So i blog about my sisters kids because they are my happiness and excitement now a days.... SO anyway, a few weeks ago we went to see Disney on ice. These are just some of the pictures we took while we were there. It was a ton of fun. Also these are a few videos of the crazy kids. My niece and nephew LOVE to play the wii. This is them playing a cow racing game. I just think it is funny because they are just jumping all around and shaky everything about. And the second one is Gunnar who LOVES to sing and clap to if your "Happy and ya know it!" he has singing care bears that sing "The wheels on the bus" and other songs so he got them mixed up and started honking the horn instead of clapping his hands! He is so cute. This is what i spend most of my extra time doing... just playing with them! The pic is of me and my sister Brittany, she is the best! We are with her little boy Gunnar I love these guys! They help lift me up when life gets tough and keep me smiling no matter what!..... Not to mention they feed me and let me hang out with them!!! As i think of Thanksgiving i think of family, and friends and the people that are really there when you need someone! I am so thankful for my friends and family and for my job and for a great place to live! Life isn't so bad when you stop to look around!

Twilight Movie.....Was it worth the wait?

OK, so i saw the twilight movie.... and.... it wasn't awful? But it wasn't that super either. I liked it. It was pretty good at following the basic elements of the book. I guess i was just hoping it would be more exciting. I wasn't necessarily disappointed, it was still a good movie. But not my favorite. But than again i am not obsessed with the books either. I will admit i read them all, and liked them. But they aren't the BEST BOOKS EVER!!!!! Like totally blow me out of the water. But it is a good fun story. I was really looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. Maybe the other books will be better movies, if they become movies...they are a little more exciting and action packed! I will definitely see them if they come out. But I am not sure it will hit my top slot for best movie ever. Plus I think Edward is supposed to be cuter than he turned out to be. But Emmit was cute! And the boys, Eric, Mike and Tyler looked NOTHING like i pictured them.... everyone else did a pretty good job at playing their parts. I guess i just always thought Mike was more nerdy than cute... HA Anyway If you have seen it tell me what you think too... Maybe it just needs a second view for me to really appreciate it?

Merry Unbirthday to me!

OK so Suzanne, me and Karen decided to be crazy and go to Disneyland to celebrate all of our "Unbirthdays" this weekend. We drove to Vegas and stayed at Kelli's house,(a friend of from BYU)and then got up super duper early to drive to Disneyland we didn't even get to really sleep much at all! Then we went all over Disneyland having a blast. There were a lot of people there but amazingly it wasn't too bad. We got to do everything i wanted to do, and more! Dennis Quaid was right in front of us at Space Mountain he went on the car right before us. The people around us were freaking out, it was funny. Also they were filming the Disney Christmas special that is going to be on ABC on Christmas day, so the Jonas Brothers were there performing at the park, they had a cool stage with presents and Christmas trees, it was really beautiful and fun! People were pretty crazy though! Then we got stuck in the Indian Jones ride FOREVER! They turned on a huge bright light and we had to talk to the mechanics and the people that work there. We had to keep taking on and off our seat belts while the shut the power off and on. Then it started working we went a little ways in the pure darkness, and stopped again right underneath Indian Jones! Just before the big boulder is coming at you and you drop, which happens to be my favorite part, but when you get stuck and they turn on the lights and Indi Kept looking around and just hanging there while the boulder spinned a head of us, it kinda ruined the suspense of the ride. BUT we got little vouchers that let us come back and ride it again later when it was finally fixed... It was a long ride! It was a super fun trip. Then the next morning we went to Newport Beach which was beautiful. It was windy though and the waves were HUGE I loved it! The weather in California was so nice it was even hot a few times! It was like 76 or 78 degrees, and just lovely! A little cooler at the beach, but hey it beats snow!! Then we drove the entire way home it rained a little bit but we saw an amazing rainbow it was so bright and vibrant! Then it became a double rainbow. It was like the first time i have ever seen a full rainbow completely arch across the sky and you could see both of them even though the top one was lighter! It was gorgeous. Perfect ending to a fabulous weekend!~ It was a crazy but super fun weekend! I didn't take as many pictures as i wanted to but here are the ones i did take!

SNOW???

OK so it snowed today.... REALLY? Come on just a few more days of sunshine. Or at least safe driving where there are not crazy accidents everywhere... I think i wouldn't mind snow as much if it were safe to drive in. I mean, NO i don't necessarily LOVE being cold.. but i can deal with it because i love wearing hoodie sweatshirts and bundling up in blankets. But it's the driving that scares me and today i saw an awful accident where a van was wrapped around a telephone poll on it's side with another car smashed up too... and it's only been one day of snow, what else is to come? I should run away to somewhere i can wear flip flops just a few more days and enjoy the warm sun. Ha Who knows maybe not... but i can dream right?

Only a few more days....

Ok so i have been off track for two weeks now, and i am now down to the last few days. I have tried to do all of the things i don't have time for when i am working. Like get my hair done, going to the dentist, getting a flu shot, visiting and meeting with friends, cleaning my house extra good, getting all my laundry done, organizing my closet, catching up on movies and tv shows, sleeping in once in awhile and reading tons and tons of books! And my favorite, spending lots of time with Ade and Gunnar and Brittany. It's so funny being off track. I feel like i get so much done, i even catch a few moments of boredom and sometimes i even think i am ready to go back... but as soon as time to go back gets closer i still get that anxious feeling i used to get as a kid when summer vacation was ending....Then i feel like there is so much i have to do before i go back... i just can't think of what.. It's like a Roller coaster. But The time off has been fun, and well needed. I get to go back just in time for Parent Teacher Conferences... Yahoo! What a party!

HALLOWEEN FUN WITH MY FAMILY!

 
So i started my day with Breakfast at I-hop with Kristen and her two cute little kids. Then we went shopping and just hungout for awhile it was so much fun! Then i went over to my Sister Brittany's house where Princess Leia and A Purple Drangon were getting ready for a fun Halloween. My Nephew Gunnar is almost two and just loves Halloween already. Ade has been always shy but this year was actually a lot of fun. We went Trunk Or Treating at my dad's ward and then went to some of the houses in my sister's neighborhood. It was fun even in the RAIN!! Then we went back to my sister's and ate pizza and just hung out. My nephew Gunnar afer getting out of his dragon costume put on my nieces little plastic pink high heel shoes.. he was as pretty as a princess. And to top it off he carried around her pink purse and was pushing his favorite toy... A pink stroller. He is such a cute kid! Then we read some Halloween stories and played with some toys. It wasn't anything fancy to write a book about but it was good home town fun I love my family!

Carving Pumkins and other Halloween Fun!

So we have been around looking at Halloween decorations because my little nephew who is almost 2 and my niece who is 4 love it! Gunnar and Ade both had a blast looking at the Gardener Village set up. Then we carved pumpkins and decided we are pros... ok maybe not but it sure was fun!

Fun weekend! And Random Memories!

Ok so i wanted to tell you about my fun weekend. First Friday i went to watch niece Ade have swimming lessons. If you have never had the opportunity to see 4 year olds try to learn how to swim I definitely recommend it, it is like the cutest thing EVER! Then after that Friday Night i went with Ade (*who happens to be my favorite 4 year old in the world) to the opening night of high school musical 3. It ended up being a family affair, my parents and my sister came too. There were TONS of cute girls dressed up to support the movie, everyone was screaming and clapping. Ade couldn't even sit in her seat she was so excited! She stood up a couple of times to dance and clap along. Although, i am not sure it is as much fun as the other two movies since she can sing every song in those ones... it was a lot of fun! Then on Saturday I had lunch with my super cute pregnant friend Jessica who i love to death! She is the best. I am lucky to have such an awesome friend who i get to work with at school and she still agrees to eat lunch with me on the weekends!! It was only like a 3 hour lunch!! We were lucky we stopped talking after that long, you never know how long our outings are going to be together! Then Saturday night i went out with my long lost friend Suzanne who was super cool to go to dinner and watch a movie with. it was so much fun to just talk and catch up and know that we are all in the same but very different crazy stage of life together. Then i came home and decided to finally upload pictures from my camera which have been on there for literally years.... So Now i am sharing them with you. Some of them are old school stuff, student council, vacations, graduations, New babies, and other random activities. It's quite the mix of memories. Enjoy!

Ok so i have moved on to a new song.... this one i stole from Nicole's blog, it plays every time you go to her page.. Or it did? I don't know if it is still the same. But I found a video to go with it. I love the pictures they are amazing, And I am totally going to find the person! Cuz i want someone to take me there.....

New Found Glory!

OK so when asked what i like to do for fun? ......I didn't have a response. I had forgotten what i really enjoyed. Lame, i know! So exploring trying to figure out what to do today, i came across a song that was amazing. Then i got sucked into listening to music online for hours! I had forgotten how much i really do love music. I used to blast music, angry, happy, sad, fun, and exciting music, anything to express my emotions. There is nothing more fun then turning it up and singing along... And almost feeling like someone understands how you feel and wrote the song for you! I used to love playing it in my room, in the car, but i guess i let it go, because just a couple of years ago i had a huge supply of cds in my car for constant music! But lately, i had even gotten to the point where sometimes i would just drive without the radio even on! I had completely taken out the element of music in my life and i have just now found my new glory.

Utah Humanities Book Festival

Ok so i am excited to go to this because I am a nerd, and i like books, especially children's lit books and I love Richard peck, who will be at the salt lake library at 12 on Saturday, But i also think this particular session on Saturday from 2-3pm sounds exciting.

Authors Paul Fleischman and Sara Zarr discuss “Current Trends in Adolescent and Children’s Literature.” Fleischman comments, "Children's books used to be a refuge from adult trends; they've been invaded." The constant change in technology is obviously mirrored in the lives of young adults and children. "The speed [of] computer technology...has leaked into life as a whole." We see young people growing and changing in a similarly fast pace. Zarr comments that the core issues in teen fiction will always be "Identity, family, the longing for love, home, and acceptance," but one must pause to wonder how these relevant issues will continue to be addressed in a quickly changing world with quickly changing standards and means of communication.

I've been dreaming of a True Loves Kiss!

OK so here is how lame i am.... Day one of being off track and what am i doing? Laundry... while watching ENCHANTED!!! ALONE! Super exciting i know. But it makes me think... Ya know, i really have been dreaming of a true loves kiss. But then it gets me wondering whether that is really possible? What makes happiness, and how do you find it? You would think at 24 i would have life a LITTLE figured out. Most people in Utah have multiple kids by 24. Or at least a somewhat successful relationship, or even friendships for goodness sake!~. But here i am moving every six months, trying to find my place in the world. The only thing i do have figured out is my job. And even then i still question that once in awhile too. It just seems like life is full of never ending tests. And just as soon as you think you have it figured out and you understand, it totally changes. I think even people that are married, don't always know what makes them happy. Some people think once you find that person, life just magically changes. But i know from experience that life isn't automatically easier when you get married. Sometimes it's even harder. I think everyone is given different challenges at different stages in life. But somewhere there is sunshine and light. You just have to find it. SO i am officially on my journey for happiness. Who knows where it will lead me, maybe i will move again, maybe i will switch jobs, find new friends, or find a new relationship. Maybe even just a hobby. I am not sure yet... But I've got plenty of time to figure it out. Wish me luck?

Counting down the days!!

OK so i am totally counting down the days until i go off track. I officially only have to wake up two more mornings, and go to 1 and 1/2 days of school before i get a break!!! A much needed and deserved break. Luckily I am feeling a little better and pushing a long one day at a time. But I do have to say I HATE snow. Ok, hate is a strong word i don't hate it, i just hate driving in it and wondering if everyone else is being careful too.. I think snow looks nice, i am not fond of being cold but i can deal with it because i love wearing hoodies and bundling up in blankets! But i dislike driving in snow and for that fact alone i hate waking up to see snow on the ground.

I am grateful however, that this time around i found a place to live with a garage, so i don't have to wake up early to trudge through the snow to clean my car off!!! So that is AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!! So i might just survive this winter after all!!!

Ok so Wow i haven't posted anything new in a long time.... But nothing really exciting has been happening. Just teaching school, living life, the Norm... I got stuck in a Puzzle Game Trap

Ok so i got sent to this random puzzle game by a friend, the game is called "Hexicom Connect". And i usually don't check things out like this i just ignore the emails and carry on with my day, but this time i was like "heck, why not" so i went there! And I don't know about you but i got sucked into it. At first i thought, "No big deal this is easy" but then it kept getting more complicated. It really made me think. Yes, I know it is a time waster, but check it out it was kinda fun!

First Day Back to School!!

SO today was my first day back to school! It was also my first day at my new school! Way fun I have 14 girls and 12 boys! I love it when it's evened out like that it makes things a lot easier! I think its going to be such a fun year!

The Hills is coming back!!!! Finally!

King Hippo??

So Spencer and I were taking pictures with the webcam on my computer, so we could put them in this website to see which celebrities we look like. It was pretty funny to see who they said we each looked like. If you ever get bored, you should go check it out at www.myheritage.com you can do the face recognition, which is what we did, or you can see who your kids look most like, or you can even change your picture to make you look like someone famous! It was a lot of fun.

Anywhoo... as we were doing our own research to see who Spencer looked like we came across King Hippo.... I think we have a winner! What do you think?

I have officially moved!

Ok so its complete I have finally moved into my FABULOUS new place in South Jordan. It's nice to finally be able to settle in and enjoy my space. And it's got plenty of room for me and all of my stuff! Now all i have to do is get ready to start school again and life is wonderful!

WIsh List.

Ok so this is the dog i want to get... I have always loved dogs, and i want one really bad, but i am trying to figure out if i have the schedule that really works with dogs. I would hate to get a puppy and not be able to take care of it. But just for the record, if i do get a dog, this is what it will look like.. Someone who will always be excited when i come home, and someone who will always love me.

Ok so, pretty sure the Orem option is out, but i am still looking to relocate asap. I will still be teaching, just at a different school. But that also means i need to find a new place to live quickly before the school year starts again so it's not so crazy. I feel like someone has taken everything i had figured out so far and dumped it upside down and said.. "Here figure this one out"

Time to move again!

Well it has come time to move again. Yes i know, it seems as if every 6 months i am relocating myself... Hopefully one day i will find something a little more stable, but who knows. I am not 100% positive as to where i am going, but i think that i am moving to Orem. I hate change, and i hate moving so none of this is very fun. But new things are always new adventures... So, wish me luck!

Ok so i have been blogging with my 6th grade class, but never open to the "real world" But now that the year is over, and my lovely children are moving on to Middle school and don't really care what is going on with me, or my class I have decided to open my blog up to anyone not just the select few. I am going to attempt to really blog about life and craziness. No guarantees that it will be eventful or even entertaining, but it is worth a shot. 6th Grade has come and gone!

Can you believe it!?!? It's over, your gone, you'll never walk into our portable again. It all went by so fast. I hope you all have some exciting summer plans, and then its off to SUPER MIDDLE SCHOOL! You will all do well of that i am sure! But i will miss ya and always wish the best for you!

Awesome performance!

Thank you to all of you who came last night!! I don't know about you, but i thought it was a fun, great night! You guys did awesome! Thanks for all of your hard work preparing to sing that song, it sounded great you all did amazing! Thanks again for coming and making it all happen!

And don't forget we had enough people there we get to wear pajamas on Friday and prepare yourself for our class idol! And our last Store! Should be an exciting Friday!

As for Tanner, you shouldn't talk about your sister and her friends like that, its not really your place to share their secrets. But you probably wont even read this because your going to HAWAII!!! I hope you have a blast that is such a great opportunity for you. But i really do hope you come back to school at least one day when you get back.

And Nate! Wow i am jealous, your trip sounds absolutely amazing! I have never been back East, and the places you have been sound really great! Especially the baseball game you got to go to!

Several of you are coming and going and leaving school and going on trips. I just have to say that i can't believe this year has come and gone so fast! It seems like its just flown by. Soon you will all leave and start new adventures. Enjoylife!

We have had a few tragic events happen in our class in the last little while, Adam had to have surgery on his arm, Brittany had surgery on her knee... And multiple other people out sick! And poor shea sitting in the sun at LAKE POWELL How sad.. NOT! But remember it's important to try to come to school as much as possible as we are wrapping up the year. But i do understand if something comes up or by all mean stay home if your sick. I sure don't want to get thrown up on!

Needless to say thanks for coming to class and doing what you do! You're the best

Hello Goodbye

Long time, No post!!

Hey y'all sorry for such a big gap in postings. I felt like people weren't actually responding or even checking the blog anymore. If you guys want to keep doing this participating and tell your friends to get on and reply, and remind me in class to start having people post at least a few times every week so we can keep up to date on whats happening in our class. Also dont just say hi and whose on? really reply ask questions, this is your chance to interact outside of school.

Class update, we are pushing through and learning so much!! Keep having fun and stay positive. I promise if you don't like vouchers or judges do your best and try harder and they are gone. We had store today, which i think you all enjoyed. Tomorrow we have art with Mrs. Hamblin, should be very exciting! Goes right along with our social studies!~ I think its been a great week!~ Keep trying hard and keeping your mouth shut and we will have more fun activities!

Happy Valentines day, crazy snowy day but lots of fun!

SO i am back in snowy Utah... and i am SICK! what a way to enjoy the last few days of break!!! I hope i get better before Sunday no one should be sick on their birthday!!

1/2 way through our break!

Hey guys!
So clearly not as many people check the blog while we are off track. BUT i just wanted to check in. We are 1/2 way through our break! Almost time to start counting down until we return! Just a few reminders, keep working on your castles! AND dont forget if you wanted to come back to go to the Dance field trip it is on the 31st which is Thursday. Be at the school by 9 and make sure you have a note from your parents if you didn't turn in your permission slip before the break! It should be an incredible experience! Also just so you know i am no longer in L.A. I decided to extend my trip and stay a week longer, but I am now in San Diego~! Still sunny and beautiful, and i hear you all got tons of snow! YUCK! Just kidding enjoy!

Today we did a fun art project and learned all about prime factorization!! It was a pretty crazy day, the week is just flying by so fast!

Art and Crazy Bubblegum

Today we did a really cool project with art. We learned some interesting things about Michelangelo. We made scenes, animals and wacky things with clay. And Kaleb kept on saying "This is intense." Art is awesome! I wonder if Michelangelo ever ate bubblegum? I wonder what it was like in his time. I wonder how they made bubblegum back then. The Intense day of School!

How many of you like pink pigs?

Today at recess there was an intense arm wrestling saga. We went to the library, tato screamed because he was hit. It was disturbing and very non intense. We took the final math test it was Intense. Kaleb is giving me a headache by saying intense too much!! (by josh) Do you think Kaleb says intense too much? We watched that one movie. We had an indoor recess and Miss Holloway was displeased with the principals announcement. We cleaned out our desks. Everybody was happy because their desk is finally clean. Today was intense.

Intense Monday!

Today we had a spelling pre-test and we have science homework from Mr. E. We went to the meet the masters assembly and on Wednesday and Thursday we are having art. We are having a math test tomorrow so don't forget to study! There were intense things today. Remember to bring your math homework, your voucher, and study spelling and vocab.

Busy Weekend!

Some people may think that it is cherry, blueberry, and apple. But it is actually more. It is a very complicated and important number in math. It is very helpful in finding the area and circumference of circles. Pi is equal to 3.14 but the real numeral is infinite

Spelling Sparkle!

Today we played Sparkle. I was almost the winner. I would have gotten ten class bucks! It was still very fun. If I got in second, I would have gotten five class bucks. Yahoo!

First Day Back!

The first day back was chaotic, we learned all about pi. We talked about what we all got for Christmas and what we did over the break. A lot of people got a wii for Christmas, and Guitar Hero 3. It is very cold and wet outside! It's intense. Remember to wear warm clothes!
